HAPPY NEW YEAR SWEET FRIEND!
Did you know, that 50% of new year resolutions don't stick after January?! (mind blown right! - nahhh lol)
Habits don't work. You get excited but then you do this ONE thing that leaves you stuck in the trap of food controlling your life....
YOU THINK!
That's right....The only reason I have a healthy relationship with food & my body is because I stopped giving my brain the power to make excuses. I stopped thinking & overthinking. What did I do instead? I just started DOING!
When you struggle with eating disorder behaviors, instead of adding on additional behaviors or "false promises" to your new year...what you really need is to stop thinking & start acting.
STOP believing that motivation will last.
Stop adding to your plate (no pun intended).
STOP expecting different results, while you continue to do the exact same things.
Yes, you need desire to recover & find peace with food & your body. But the most important step in the process is ACTION. In order to rewire your hijacked brain, you must create habit reversals by implementing small changes forward. These small but mighty actions & alterations will completely change your life & your future.
Stop making it easy to have an unhealthy relationship with food.
What can you STOP doing today? What can you let go of? Do the opposite of what your brain is "thinking". In order to get something different you have to DO something different.

Fad diets are pre-cursors to eating disorders. Yes, I said it!
Did you know that according to the National Eating Disorder Association, 35% of normal dieters progress to chronic dieters, & 25% of those individuals develop eating disorders?! Isn't this wild?!
The best known contributor to the development of disordered eating & full blown eating disorders is the cultural idealization of "thinness".
What is super troubling however, is that 95% of dieters will regain lost weight back (& then some) 1-5 years following their diet. But this doesn't stop the weight loss industry from pushing products & new diets down your face every new year! Roughly, 60 billion dollars are spent each year (& that is just Americans) on diet products and programs. STOP DOING THIS! Girl, Quit Dieting!

In today's episode, I share with you what the "busy diet" is & how you can stop the hustle of being busy as a way to manipulate & restrict. In today's episode, I share with you the POWER of your words. If you are like most women, you have heard that the power of words can be critical when it comes to how you view your body, life, relationships, etc.
I created this podcast because I fully believe how the power of your words & thoughts lead to your ultimate identity...which is the number one reason why you may be stuck in disordered eating patterns. Ask yourself: What are you affirming? What words are you giving power too?
Reality is: You are creating your life from the words that you speak RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT. & yes, you can indeed be FREE from your eating disorder & heal your life with through the impact of your words.
So, if you are constantly saying to yourself that you "can't gain weight", "can't have carbs", & "will never escape this nightmare". Then the truth is...you probably NEVER will.
Girl, what are you saying to yourself? Are you showing compassion through your words today? Your words hold SO MUCH power! In order to change your life, you MUST change the way you speak to yourself. Speak to yourself like you would speak to your best friend.
I hope this episode pushes you to apply CHANGE in your life today! You can use these incredible FAITH-led & Bible derived affirmations to create positive behaviors.
The future is never certain, but what is certain is words have power of life or death.

I've been right where you are....some days feeling in ultimate control of my life & my food intake, while other days spiraling into paralyzed fear that led me wanting to give up on everything.

Psychologists consider absolute thinking to be a cognitive distortion because this mindset keeps you from experiencing TRUE reality. So how can you change this way of thinking? How can you break free?
